Issue 2: A few final thoughts
The second issue of The Compass is now complete. We hope you’ve enjoyed the past fortnight and that you’ll keep coming back to read Issue 2 again at your leisure. It’s been a particularly exciting time for us as we have been publishing The Compass from our first Poetry Residential at Ponden Hall in Haworth. Our thanks go to the participants and to Julie and Steve at Ponden who have all helped to make it a resounding success. We are working on dates for subsequent courses and will keep you posted.
Once again we have been blown away by the response to the magazine and as always we look forward to hearing your thoughts. Please do email us, and remember that we are now open to ideas for articles as well as poetry and reviews.
We are very aware that any magazine is only as good as the material it publishes! Keep sending us your best work. We’re proud of the quality and diversity of the poetry and reviews in The Compass and we’ll strive to maintain it through future issues.
Please see our Submissions page for guidelines. We have made some changes to the these so do check before submitting. The closing date for Issue 3 is December 31st and the issue will appear at the end of February/beginning of March.
Our thanks go to all the poets and reviewers who appeared in Issue 2, and to everyone who submitted poems or supported us on social media. You help to make The Compass a success and we greatly appreciate your enthusiasm. We look forward to meeting you here for Issue 3, in the early Spring of 2016.
